Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met Archer Daniels Midland Chair and CEO Juan Ricardo Luciano in Chicago today to discuss opportunities for expanding the company’s presence and investment in India.

In a social media post, Goyal said the discussions focused on possible avenues for greater investment and expansion by ADM in the Indian market.

The Minister highlighted India’s growing food processing industry, modernising agricultural value chains and large consumer base as areas with considerable scope for growth and cooperation.

Goyal said India has significant potential for sustainable growth and long term collaboration in the food processing sector.
