Huawei is preparing to introduce two new artificial intelligence chips in 2027 as the Chinese technology company continues to expand its presence in the rapidly growing AI computing sector.
The company plans to launch the 960DT chip during the first quarter of 2027, followed by the Ascend 960PR in the third quarter. Huawei is also working on technology that will allow a large number of AI chips to be connected and used together within larger computing systems.
The development comes as demand for high performance computing continues to increase because of the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence applications. Huawei is seeking to strengthen its chip capabilities and provide technology that can support increasingly demanding AI workloads.
