Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his gratitude to the leaders of all BRICS member countries for helping make the group's Delhi summit productive and focused on achieving meaningful outcomes.
The Prime Minister shared a video on his social media accounts featuring important moments from the two day summit. The video also included a portion of his speech in which he highlighted India's efforts to strengthen friendship, partnership and cooperation through BRICS.
The Delhi summit brought together several prominent world leaders, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Abu Dhabi's Crown Prince Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Other leaders who attended included Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Philippine President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr. Uganda's Vice President Jessica Alupo was also among the participants.
India hosted the BRICS Summit on September 12 and 13. The meeting was attended by leaders from the group's 11 member countries and 10 partner countries, along with representatives of several international organisations.
The summit also provided an opportunity for Prime Minister Modi to hold bilateral discussions with leaders from different countries. Over the last three days, he conducted 15 sit down bilateral meetings with heads of state and heads of government on the sidelines of the summit.
The meetings covered areas of mutual interest and provided opportunities to strengthen India's relationships with partner countries. Modi's message after the summit highlighted India's focus on friendship, cooperation and stronger partnerships through the BRICS platform.
