Nothing’s CEO Carl Pei said at The Android Show: I/O Edition that the Phone 3 will be priced above £800. If he was serious about it, then the price translates above ₹90,000 in India.
It is hard to believe that a company which sells phones in above ₹30,000 price range suddenly goes beyond 90k to launch a phone in a price sensitive market like India, where the premium segment in led by Apple, Samsung and OnePlus.
Anyway, the Nothing Phone 3 will succeed the Phone 2 launched in July 2023. After that the company launched Phone 3a and 3a Pro in 2025, but skipped Phone 3.
If Phone 3 is going to Nothing’s first true flagship smartphone, it is likely to run Snapdragon 8 Elite processor accompanied by up to 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage.
A more than 5,000 mAh battery is also expected in Phone 3 but without a charger.
Triple 50 MP rear camera set up can be a possibility in Phone 3 along with a 32 MP selfie camera. The rear is more likely to have a dedicated telephoto lens.
Phone 3 could also use a 6.78 inch of flexible LTPO AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
