Mr Perfectionist of Bollywood, Aamir Khan, who joined the panel discussion along with Dinesh Vijay, Namit Malhotra and others at the Waves Summit 2025, has praised the government for the initiative and giving a powerful and global platform, which will be beneficial for the entertainment industry.
“For the first time, any government has applied their mind and their emotions and said let’s do something in media and entertainment. Let’s play that powerful. Let India be a leader in that. Whether we will become a leader or not, we will see. But fact, the present government has thought about it and actually has made the effort to announce it and organize it. It’s a huge initiative and it’s a huge opportunity for all of us as Indian filmmakers across the languages. For the first time, the government is showing interest. This is the time, what we discussed today at Waves, a lot of these discussions will actually finally translate into policies. So, this the dialogue that has just started I feel between the film fraternity or the entertainment fraternity,” said Aamir Khan.
Yesterday, Allu Arjun also praised WAVES the summit as a beacon for India’s rising global narrative in storytelling. “India has always had the soul. Now, we have the stage,” he said, beaming. “I believe WAVES will be a launching pad for India to lead the world in creative content.”
