Apple is likely to launch the next generation of the Apple Watch SE very soon mentioned the latest report. The last generation of the Apple Watch SE was launched way back in 2022. The new generation of Apple Watch SE will have significant upgrade when compared to the older generation and it will be in the form of larger display.

According to a note from analyst Ross Young, Vice President of Counterpoint Research to 9to5Mac, the display sizes of the upcoming Apple Watch SE models were revealed. He also mentioned that the smartwatch has been in production and the launch will take place sooner. The analyst mentioned that the next gen Apple Watch SE series will have 1.6-inch and 1.8-inch displays. This will be an upgrade when it comes to the 1.57-inch and 1.78-inch display sizes that are offered with current gen Watch SE series.

As the current models are offered in 40mm and 44mm case sizes, the upcoming models are expected to have a bigger size. It seems that Apple will be offering older standard sizes (41mm and 45mm) in the newer affordable SE series line-up.

The company has upgraded the Watch Series 10 with 42mm and 46mm standard size. This makes it more distinguishable as compared to the SE series. The Watch Series 10 gets a display of 1.96-inches in the 46mm model. On the other hand, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 model gets a bigger 49mm case with 1.92-inches display.

New generation of Apple Watch SE series was rumoured to offer plastic chassis but it seems highly unlikely. We are expected to get the devices with aluminium chassis.
