Delivering the keynote address, Hon'ble Justice Prathiba M. Singh, Judge, High Court of Delhi, described copyright as the "never-ending IP right," emphasising its critical role across technological and creative domains. Justice Singh urged the creation of a common licensing platform for Indian music to ensure that artists are fairly compensated. "The day we do that, we will be doing a big service not just to our artists, but to our entire creative industry," she stated.

 

Mr. Tang stated, "India is embracing the transformation of digital innovation, where culture, content, technology, and creativity converge." He underscored the importance of supporting creators, particularly in the face of challenges posed by generative AI, urging collaboration to harness AI's potential to empower human creativity. He noted that the future of Indian innovation lies in combining digital, content, media, and technology in novel ways.

 

The event underscored the growing alignment between India's legal, governmental, and creative sectors in championing intellectual property as a key driver of economic empowerment and cultural preservation.
